Help Us Ax the Tax
In the middle of the night, on the brink of a government shutdown, the politicians passed a mish-mash of a tax plan to keep government open. Now in the light of day we see what a mess they made: a new $767 million tax on more than 60 services businesses and individuals use every day a new tax that threatens to drive tens of thousands of jobs out of Michigan because it's so poorly thought out.
This new tax is such a mess it can't be fixed. It can only be repealed. And since Lansing won't act, it's up to taxpayers to Ax the Tax, and send the politicians back to the drawing board.
